Canada Day 2026 With Local Regiments

The Armed Forces Museum attended alongside the 20th Independent Field Battery and The South Alberta Light Horse in Lethbridge to celebrate Canada Day 2026.

We brought the CVR(T) Striker and a Leyland DAF DROPS to support the display, helping visitors connect with Canadian military history, vehicle preservation, and the people who keep this equipment understood and remembered.

Restoration Update

FV103 Spartan Engine Replacement Underway

The FV103 Spartan is receiving a replacement engine as part of its ongoing mechanical restoration. The work is still in progress, and we hope to have it completed in the coming weeks.

Projects like this keep the collection active and help preserve not only the vehicles, but also the practical knowledge needed to maintain them.

One of the Foden DROPS vehicles is receiving a replacement gearbox. The installation is ongoing and is expected to be completed soon.

The DROPS vehicles are an important part of the logistics story in the collection, showing the heavy transport capability that supports operations behind the front line.
