TANK COMBAT 120MM GUN CHIEFTAIN MK10
Despite Merlin showing disposal at VDL in March 1993 with cast flag Y, a forum post dated 28 February 2021 references a sighting of this vehicle in Madrid, Spain. The most likely location would be the Museo de Medios Acorazados (MUMA) at Base Militar El Goloso, north of Madrid — the Spanish Army armoured vehicles museum. If confirmed, the vehicle survived the 1993 VDL disposal and was subsequently acquired by a Spanish museum or private owner. Status updated to possible survivor pending further confirmation. The Spanish Army armoured vehicles museum published a news article on 21 May 2014 confirming acquisition of a Chieftain FV4201 on loan from a private individual. The article notes visible external wear but acceptable mechanical condition. The vehicle survived the 1993 VDL disposal and passed to private ownership before being loaned to MUMA.
