Notes

Private owner, UK show circuit. Chieftain Mk10, contract KL/A/0208 (Vickers Armstrong built, Elswick, Newcastle), entered service 1 July 1969. Merlin records service with QOH (QUEEN'S OWN HUSSARS) from January 1988, then 2 Army Del Sqn and Vehicle Depot Ludgershall 1992, ABRO Bovington planned repair June 1995 (RCP 999 — accounting write-off during repair), back to VDL July 1995, then formal disposal March 1996 (RIV 5170B, RCP 999). Followed by undated movement back to 2 ARMY DEL SQN with no RIV recorded, suggesting transfer outside normal disposal stream. No cast flag set in Merlin. Confirmed running at Yorkshire Wartime Experience show, Hunsworth, West Yorkshire, 9 August 2025. Painted in dark disruptive camouflage scheme.
