Notes

Chieftain AVLB Mk2 Prototype, entered service November 1968. One of three AVLB prototypes (00FB02, 00FB03, 00FB04). Merlin records service at QMT Bovington Armour Centre from 1979, with ABRO Bovington planned repair 1992, returning to QM(T) Dept Armour Centre April 2000 — last confirmed Merlin movement. No cast flag set. PDF vehicle register notes all three prototypes were used for driver training. Recorded as possible survivor pending physical confirmation at Bovington.
